33,200,000 people are living with HIV or AIDS

2,500,000 new cases of HIV in 2007

6,800 new cases of HIV every day, that's 5 new cases every minute

One child dies every minute from AIDS

15,000,000 children have been orphaned by AIDS

Every 15 seconds, another 15-24 year old is infected with HIV

More than 25,000,000 people have died from AIDS since 1981

Most people living with HIV are unaware they are infected.  Knowing your status is critical in preventing the spread of HIV.  Without a cure, education and prevention are the most effective ways to stop the spread of HIV.  Take the time to know the facts and share these facts with your loved ones.  If we all take personal responsibility, the spread of HIV is preventable.

What does all this mean?  There is no medicinal cure and there is no sign of a cure in the future so get educated and use condoms.
